They have quickly established the largest fleet of solar streetlights in the nation and are groundbreaking system across the US.
Position Overview
The Electrical Installation Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of electricians and apprentices engaged in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. This role ensures that all electrical work is completed safely, efficiently, on time, and in compliance with regulations, codes, and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Execution
- Supervise and coordinate daily installation activities at project sites.
- Lead, train, and mentor electricians and apprentices.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, electrical plans, and specifications.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients to ensure smooth execution.
- Track milestones and prepare progress reports.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure all work complies with electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
- Conduct inspections and testing of solar streetlighting systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on-site.
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations, inspections, and repairs.
Health & Safety
- Promote and enforce safe work practices on all job sites.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Report hazards, incidents, and near-misses per company policy.
Requirements
- Valid Florida Electrical Contractors (EC) or Electrical Specialty Contractors (ES) License.
- High school diploma or equivalent (degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of electrical installation experience, including supervisory experience.
- Proficiency in reading/interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Problem-solving ability with attention to detail.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Willingness to travel to job sites across Florida and the U.S.
Work Environment
- Predominantly outdoor, site-based role.
- Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting of heavy equipment/materials.
- Travel to multiple project sites required.
- Evening or weekend work may be necessary to meet deadlines.
- Strict adherence to safety protocols and PPE usage required.
- Collaboration with diverse teams including contractors, engineers, and clients.
