Our client is a fast-growing startup, applying artificial intelligence to the drafting, negotiation, and analysis of contracts. They are on a mission to change the way organizations approach documentation and harness the power of the data within their documents. They recently closed their Series B and with a global footprint, they support some of the world’s largest financial institutions and are trusted by leading banks around the world, including Citi and Goldman Sachs.

The Sales Strategy Lead will support our client's business development strategy and execution with a primary focus on driving the sales motion for net new business in the banking sector. This person will participate in the full sales cycle serving as the linchpin between prospective customers, senior sales leadership and pre-sales engineers ensuring a strategic, smooth and customized business development process.

Candidates must be in the New York City Metropolitan Area or Toronto Metropolitan Area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside Strategic Account Directors and participate in each step of the sales cycle from initial discovery through close.

  • Develop sales strategy: Understand the needs of prospective customers and ensure that all pitch decks, technical demos, business cases and all other business development efforts align their specific needs to our client's value proposition and are tailored to the specific business context of the customer. 

  • Substantively engage with the business context and product domains of our client's customers customers, including through self-study and learning.

  • Own the project management of the sales cycle – ensuring all stakeholders understand their roles and provide feedback on draft deliverables. Take the lead on developing pitch decks and sales collateral as necessary, while working closely with Strategic Account Directors and Sales Engineers.

  • Leveraging internal resources and expertise to relate unique and novel client use cases to the product.

Desired skills and experience:

The right candidate will have a selection of the following 

  • 6-8 years of work experience with some of those years in a client-facing role at a management consultancy. 

  • Experience in sales engineering, product management, or sales enablement.

  • Experience in understanding and developing complex business cases and ROI calculators for complex organizations.

  • Understanding of the Financial Services industry with a focus on banking. 

  • Exceptional attention to detail.

  • A thirst for self-learning and intellectual curiosity about new and/or unfamiliar concepts and topics.

  • Prior experience at a fintech.

  • Understanding of and passion for AI.

Comp and Benefits

  • The compensation for this position is $150,000 – $2000,000 depending on experience
