About the Role
This role exists to bring structure, discipline, and strategic clarity to a global eCommerce organization operating across DTC platforms and Amazon marketplaces. As the business scales internationally — with active expansion into EU, AU, and IN markets — there is a clear need for a single owner of business planning, P&L performance, and cross-functional coordination across all eCommerce channels.
The eCommerce Business Planning Team Lead will serve as the central planning authority for the integrated eCommerce organization, translating corporate strategy into executable global plans and ensuring performance visibility across regions, channels, and stakeholders. This is a high-impact senior role working closely with Finance, Marketing, Operations, and regional leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead annual and quarterly business planning for global eCommerce, including budget, targets, and forecasts across DTC platforms and Amazon US and international marketplaces.
- Own topline, margin, and investment planning across all channels, ensuring alignment between commercial objectives and financial commitments.
- Drive global eCommerce P&L tracking and performance reviews, identifying risks and opportunities across regions, channels, and marketplaces in real time.
- Coordinate global expansion of Amazon marketplaces beyond the US, supporting market entry planning across assortment, pricing, cost structure, advertising, and compliance.
- Act as the central coordination point between HQ teams and regional and internal stakeholders, ensuring global consistency while enabling local market execution.
- Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, and IT to drive data-based decisions and maintain planning integrity.
- Lead regular business reviews and prepare executive-level updates with clear performance narratives and forward-looking recommendations.
- Establish scalable planning, reporting, and governance processes that improve visibility and accountability across the global eCommerce organization.
- Serve as a strategic decision-making partner for leadership on global eCommerce initiatives, translating complexity into clear priorities and actions.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in eCommerce, business planning, or commercial strategy, with demonstrated ownership of planning cycles and performance management.
- Strong hands-on experience with Amazon (1P preferred) and DTC business models, including platform economics and channel dynamics.
- Proven experience owning or managing a P&L, including topline, margin, and investment planning.
- Experience supporting or leading international eCommerce expansion, with familiarity across multiple markets and marketplace ecosystems.
- Strong analytical and financial acumen, with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights and executive-ready narratives.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional alignment across Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations in a matrixed environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience in beauty, CPG, or consumer brands.
- Hands-on experience with Amazon international marketplaces, including EU, AU, and IN.
- Background in matrix or multi-brand organizational environments.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; familiarity with BI tools is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary $130,000 – $200,000, commensurate with experience.
