Our client, a leading creative technology and design agency, partners with enterprise and high-growth organizations to design, build, and scale digital experiences, marketing programs, and technology-enabled solutions that drive measurable business impact. They are seeking a Director, Growth to lead new business development through a consultative, solution-oriented approach, engaging senior stakeholders, shaping opportunities, and translating complex client challenges into strategic engagements.
This is not a traditional sales role. The ideal candidate brings a strong background working within agency environments and is energized by acting as a trusted advisor who can diagnose problems, shape solutions, and guide clients toward meaningful outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive net-new revenue growth through consultative, insight-led business development
- Engage senior client stakeholders to uncover business challenges, growth priorities, and transformation needs
- Translate client objectives into strategic engagement opportunities spanning marketing, creative, digital, and technology services
- Partner closely with strategy, creative, media, and delivery teams to shape proposals, scopes, and solution narratives
- Lead discovery conversations, workshops, and solution framing sessions with prospective clients
- Build and nurture a high-quality pipeline through targeted outreach, thought leadership, and industry relationships
- Position the agency as a strategic partner rather than a transactional vendor
- Guide complex deal cycles from initial engagement through contracting and handoff to delivery
- Contribute to go-to-market strategy, messaging, and market positioning as the company scales its growth function
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience within marketing or advertising agency environments
- Proven success winning new business through consultative, value-based selling approaches
- Prior hands-on experience delivering or implementing agency services (e.g., digital marketing, brand/creative, media, customer experience, product, or transformation initiatives)
- Ability to speak credibly with both business and technical stakeholders, from VP to C-suite
- Strong discovery, problem-framing, and solution-shaping skills
- Experience navigating complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally with strategy, creative, and delivery teams
- Commercial acumen with experience structuring scopes, pricing, and engagement models
- Strong executive presence, storytelling ability, and relationship-building skills
- Comfortable operating in a growth-stage environment where the role helps define the playbook
Salary: $150-160k base plus commission and bonus
