What you'll own
- Developing and executing media engagement strategies across national consumer press, regional outlets, and trade publications
- Leveraging an established Rolodex of beauty and lifestyle media contacts to land high-impact coverage
- Writing, editing, and distributing top-tier press releases and brand stories that elevate the company's unique positioning
- Building and sustaining strong relationships with journalists, editors, and industry voices – with proactive pitching and diligent follow-through
- Leading paid media and ad-buying strategy in print and digital outlets to extend brand reach
- Planning and executing press events, brand activations, and media roundtables that communicate premium brand identity
- Tracking media coverage, compiling press clippings, and delivering insights to leadership
- Supporting influencer outreach, brand gifting programs, and cross-functional communications as needed
- Partnering closely with the VP of Marketing to align PR with broader brand strategy
You bring
- 5+ years of PR experience in beauty – clean, luxury, or high-growth brands preferred
- A proven track record as a top-tier storyteller: writing and placing impactful press releases is second nature
- Strong, established relationships with journalists and editors across beauty, wellness, and lifestyle media
- Experience managing paid print and digital ad buying in leading media outlets
- Demonstrated ability to plan, manage, and execute press events and brand activations end-to-end
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and calm under the pressure of a fast-moving environment
- A creative, solutions-first mindset and genuine passion for purpose-driven brands
Bonus points for experience with influencer outreach platforms, a background in sustainability storytelling, or an existing network in wellness media
