Our client is a SaaS platform used by some of the world’s largest law firms, in-house legal departments, law firm consultants, and legal search professionals. They are currently seeking a Director of Sales to join their team.

The Role:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the sales of the SaaS platform primarily to law firms. This role is perfect for a proactive and results-driven professional with a proven track record in SaaS sales that is comfortable being hands on at every stage of the sales cycle, from prospecting to close. A successful candidate will have the ability to grow a team underneath them within the first 12 months. Travel to, and in some cases presentations at, industry conferences will be required (6 to 8 per year).

Key Responsibilities:
New Business Acquisition and Upselling  

  • Drive the acquisition of new clients through proactive outreach, networking, and relationship-building activities.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling and expanding product offerings within existing client accounts.
  • Represent the company at various legal industry conferences and events throughout the year, networking with potential clients and partners.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for law firm clients and ensure their needs and expectations are met.

Sales Operations and Enablement

  • Create a comprehensive sales playbook outlining best practices, sales methodologies and go-to-market strategies.
  • Develop and optimize sales processes and workflows to enhance efficiency.
  • Use data analytics to track sales performance, identify trends and make data-driven decisions.

Feedback and Product Development

  • Work closely with the product development team, providing feedback from the market to help shape future product enhancements and releases.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, with a strong preference for candidates who have experience in the legal or SaaS industries.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey the value proposition of our platform.
  • Willingness to travel to attend conferences, meetings, and industry events.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A strong network of relationships in the legal industry with law firms of all sizes.
  • Experience leading a team of sales professionals.
  • Experience in a SaaS startup or as a founding sales team member.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary in the range of $130,000 to $160,000, depending on experience  
  • Uncapped commission
  • Equity package
  • 4 weeks PTO
