National Sales Manager

Our client, a fast growing toy company building a strong reputation and features in the likes of USA Today and Forbes, is looking for a Sales Manager to join their growing team. With products already sold DTC, wholesale, on Amazon, in Kohl’s and other store locations, our client is looking for a season sales professional with experience in the toy space to grow their team. This person will be selling directly into boutique and mid tier stores, building a relationship with customers in person at their HQs and also conferences and trade shows. This role comes with a lot of opportunity to build out processes and playbook for the sales org, as well as the team itself. 

This role is fully remote, and will be approximately 25% travel within the US. 

Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate and secure retail sales across all distribution channels.
  • Build and maintain relationships with retail buyers to achieve sales targets.
  • Manage and train external sales partners on product and brand.
  • Oversee P&L, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Identify and develop new business strategies and categories.
  • Represent the company at trade shows and stay updated on industry trends.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • 8+ years of sales experience, ideally in the toy industry.
  • Strong relationships with North American retail buyers and distributors.
  • Proven sales, relationship-building, and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of retail operations, planogramming, and vendorization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for financial data.
