Our client, a Direct to Garment Print (DTG) producer in the Print on Demand (POD) apparel fulfillment industry is seeking its first Controller. As we continue our rapid growth, we need a strategic financial leader to oversee and enhance our financial operations, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance in all financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, team leadership, and system upgrades.
Responsibilities

Financial Oversight: Direct all accounting functions, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), general ledger management, and financial reporting.

Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.

Internal Controls: Implement and maintain robust internal control procedures, continuously identifying and addressing areas for improvement.

Data Analysis: Analyze financial data to provide insights, support decision-making, and identify potential risks or opportunities.

Compliance: Ensure all financial transactions and reporting comply with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.

Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the accounting staff, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks.

System Upgrades and Process Improvements: Lead the migration to new accounting software to support the company’s growth.

Support capital-raising activities.
Qualifications

10+ years of accounting experience, including 5+ years in a Controller role

Deep understanding of GAAP and accounting principles and regulations

Proven experience in managing accounting functions in a midsize business, preferably within the manufacturing sector

Experience in sourcing and implementing new accounting software systems

Proficiency in QuickBooks and familiarity with other accounting software

Experience working with overseas teams

Experience as a founding Controller is preferred.

Experience packaging financials for fund sources is preferred.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $160,000 – $200,000 depending on experience
- Health and Dental benefits (after 90 days of employment)
- 15 days PTO
